Some fun with photobooth

X-Ray Vision
[too bad there isn't an ultrasound vision where you could see P inside of me...Apple needs to step it up!]
32 weeks and counting.
Hooray!
Every day I am grateful to be one day closer to P-day.
[P stands for Phoebe, not Pay although I do enjoy those too.]

A few 3rd trimester facts about me:
Times I use the bathroom when I should be sleeping: 4-6
BH contractions I have in a day: 4-6
Hours I work in a week: 32
Times Dave says "Hey Little Baby" in a high-pitched voice while patting my belly: 5-7
Hours I spend dreading organizing P's room: 24
[If you like to organize please come over.]
Movements from P: Varies, but very active in the morning and at night

I can't wait for the little tigre to get here!

What a man!

Dave sure does know how to treat his preggie wife!  He did a great job, for a caucasian man.

Happy Birthday Davey!

It was Dave's birthday yesterday and he turned the big 3-2! We had a pre-bday party at Jim and Jaycie's and then a bday party at the Speed household.  Dave asked for tap shoes this year and did a little jig with his new baritone ukulele.

Who needs tap lessons when your a regular Mr. Bo Jangles?

April Showers Brings May Baby Showers!

Marlene hosted an AMAZING baby shower for me last week.  I think I am set...for now :)  I really have no idea if I am set or not, because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SHE NEEDS!  Luckily, I have a great mom/mom-in-law and superb sisters and sis-in-laws and friends who will be my motherhood mentors.
Opening gifts!

IN OTHER NEWS:
I'm a baby-sponge.  I went to a screening last night of the movie The Business of Being Born, produced by Ricki Lake--as in the 90's talk-show host, and I liked it alot.  After the movie Ricki had a Q&A about it and it was basically a documentary pro-mid-wives, home birthing, and staying away from OB/GYNs and hospitals.  I would never do a home birth, but I like the idea of it (You actually see Ricki giving birth in a full bath tub).  I also like the idea of not having Pitocin or an Epidural but I will probably have the latter because I have 0 pain tolerance and I hear it is the best thing about giving birth.  So I have no birth plan as of yet and intend to "go with the flow" of however this baby wants to come out.  P.s. Dave and I went in for a check up today and Pheebs looks a little reptilian-like, is that normal?

Barefoot and Pregnant

I am supposed to be on "bed rest" tonight since I had severe lower abdominal pain today but I laid down for 30 minutes and got bored.  So I decided to take a 26-week self-portrait in the backyard.
I wonder how much longer I will be able to see these guys?
On a side note.  Dave is building a mini-skate ramp in our backyard.  The planning phase started in October.  Yes, it took 7 months to plan and sketch before the actual transitions were made.   But here is a sneak peak...
...To be continued!

TD surf contest '09

This year for the annual Timmy Dowell surf contest Dave conjured up a death-defying costume.  He has been known to "push the envelope" with his costumes.  And although he ended up getting injured he still had a fun time doing it.

Octomom

Some of the other costumes included: Octomom, pirates, the Elf, Cheer bear, an air freshner, a seal, and a snake charmer.
The Finalists
Steve Hennings also made the final this year.  Way to go Steve!
